Cripple

You're not supposed to call somebody a cripple.  It's not politically correct, and apparently some people find the word offensive.  On the other hand, I'm a cripple now, so I think I'm allowed to say so.

It was brought to my attention, by someone much wiser than I, that the word 'cripple' is an extremely effective communication device, and that I should make friends with it immediately.  It's the only single word that really expresses my situation concisely and precisely without apologizing for it or making it seem like the user has too much time on their hands.

So in conclusion, I'm going to be using the word 'cripple'.  A lot.  And I don't mind if you use it too.  I don't think it's a dirty word.  It's just a communication tool, and a damn useful one at that.
